It isn’t long after you step into the Rope Walk and meet Annie that you realise this isn’t your typical pub and Annie is definitely not your typical pub owner.
The pub is a collection of Annie’s life, a passion project that brings together art, music, community, great food and of course, a full bar.
Annie is a North Bristol girl and her lifelong career in the hospitality industry has led her to buying the Rope Walk just over three years ago. Sceptical at first of coming south of the river, Annie hasn’t had a reason to look back.
The Rope Walk is Annie’s way of bringing her love for art, music and community together in one place. The walls of the large outdoor garden are covered in beautiful Bristolian street art while inside, a rotating exhibit of fine art is displayed among the comfortable leather chairs, wooden tables and stained glass windows.
Annie has seen Bedminster, and Bristol at that, evolve her whole life. Like most people who have grown up in Bristol, she’s excited about all of the creativity that lives in Bedminster and the evolution the area has taken over the years, and now that she’s made it across the river, she’s thrilled to be a part of the Bedminster business community and isn’t going anywhere soon.
The pub is a gathering place where anybody is welcome. With a function space that is perfect for meetings, events and anything you can think of and music events happening every week, the Rope Walk is your next favourite pub!
