August is a month of learning, diversity and opportunity here in Bedminster and we've got together with some of the areas most talented teachers to bring you something different this month.

Learn a new language @ El Rincon

We're not saying you can learn an entire language in a month, but we all have to start somewhere & El Rincon are offering Spanish taster lessons on August 7th and the 14th. If you're interested in getting involved then email elrinconbar@gmail.com 

Catch a Movie @ SouthBank

On August 6th SouthBank goes global this August as they screen the Rene Clement classic Jeux Interdit (Forbidden Games). This award winning movie bagged the Grand Prize at the Venice Film Festival and an Academy Award in Hollwood for Best Foreign Film.

St Monica Trust Film Club @ SouthBank

St Monica Trust Film Club has gone Western this August... specifically spaghetti western. August 7th sees the screening of the classic 'For A Few Dollars More' starring the great Clint Eastwood. August 14th is the turn of James Cagney's Angel's With Dirty Faces. August 21 is a tad different as the Kurosawa adaptation of Macbeth, Throne of Blood, hits the screen. Yoga for all @ Elephant House

Beginners yoga, pregnancy yoga and even Hatha yoga... the awesome Raggs knows it all. Classes cost just £5 and are open to all. Pregnancy Yoga classes run on Aug 8th, 15th & 22nd from 6pm - 7:15. Hatha Flow is on the same dates from 7:20pm - 8:20pm. Beginners Yoga take place on Aug 9th, 16th and 23rd from 6:30pm. For more info email raggs23@yahoo.co.uk

Salsa Fix @ SouthBank

Salsa the night away with Vava this August! On August 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th Salsa Fix comes to SouthBank & from 7:30pm until 10:30 you can strut your stuff Spanish style. For those with even more love for Salsa, you can join in with Vava's love for Salsa Part on August 25th, which runs from 8pm till midnight.
