North Street Nights


North Street Nights is back and bigger than ever! 

Running Thursday 6th, 13th and 20th December the shops and venues that make North Street fantastic, will be keeping their doors open till 8pm and with a wide range of quality independent shopping on offer, from special gifts to Brussel Sprouts, customers will be spoiled for choice.

Local bars and cafes will be adding a touch of magic with indulgent seasonal treats and special offerings. Look out for the snowflake logo in windows to know who’s proudly taking part this year and ask inside for details.

There will be plenty festive fun springing up along the street with dancing, live music and carols ringing through the neighbourhood.

Show of Strength Theatre Company, who brought us The Three Wise Men in 2017, will be producing a special Ebenezer Scrooge performance taking place at our very own Ebenezer Gate. Visiting us with the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future Scrooge will be taking audiences on a festive frolic through time and literature. 

“Oh! but he was a tight-fisted hand at the grindstone, Scrooge! A squeezing, wrenching, grasping, scraping, clutching, covetous old sinner!” These free family friendly performances run at 6pm, 6:30pm, 7pm and 7:30 pm on all three North Street Nights.  Running time is roughly 10 minutes.
