One of the best things about living and working in Bedminster is that there’s so many amazing independent coffee shops and cafes right here on our doorstep! Each offering something different and unique, here are a few coffee shops and cafes we think you’re going to love!

Hippie Flower café

In this cosy little café, you can enjoy your morning cup of coffee, have breakfast, read, study, meet or just pass the time… there’s room for all. Found on East Street in Bedminster with options for vegans or vegetarians and all the milk alternatives you’ll ever need, this gem is just waiting for you!

Albatross Cafe

Fancying a spot of lunch that’s insta-worthy? Why not visit Albatross Cafe! Wander into a world of houseplant heaven and wonderfully delicious baked goods from tarts to crumpets to cakes of all shapes and sizes, a perfect pairing with their carefully crafted coffee. This cafe is a little slice of heaven right on North Street.

VX Bristol

Bristol’s first 100% vegan junk food cafe has been serving the people of Bedminster for over five years! With milk alternatives that will please everyone, including options for the little vegans among us, it’s the home of the delicious peanut butter coffee and the iconic POPCORN latte… so if you’re after something extra special, it’s got to be VX!

The Toast Room

Run by a husband-and-wife duo who bonded over their shared dream to run their own café. It’s got a real community vibe to it using as many local suppliers as possible and all their coffee is locally roasted and ethically sourced. It’s a definite must-see for East Street.

Sweven

If you think of yourself as a coffee connoisseur, then this beautiful café is the one for you! There isn’t anything these guys don’t know about coffee, and they’ve always got specialty blends ready to perk you up in the afternoons. Chuck in a couple of their delicious treats and bakes and you’re sorted!

Sunshine Cafe

Is there anyone who hasn’t spent long mornings and afternoons at the Sunshine Cafe. From breakfast, to lunch, to dinner, this absolute Bemmy institution has been serving up the people of East Street for decades. If you can't have your morning cuppa without a big breakfast on the side, you need to get down there.

Another one of East Street’s iconic cafes has to be George’s! It’s a true staple on the high street and has been a long-standing favourite to the people of Bedminster. Next time you’re pondering down East Street, make sure to pop in and grab a brew.

If you’re looking for a place to go that has the wow factor baked into its bones, then The Bristol Loaf is the perfect place for you to unwind and grab a delicious frothy coffee. You can even pick up your groceries from Hugo’s and Two Belly whilst you’re there!

Need a pre-workout espresso? Perhaps a post-workout pick-me-up? We have the perfect place for you. This cafe will get you buzzed and put a smile on your face. Offering delicious coffee, smoothies, and scrummy cakes and treats, FIX is the place to be after your workout session at Trained By BV.

Hennessey’s coffee shop

If you like your coffee hot or cold, we have the ideal coffee spot just for you. Located on North Street, this quirky little coffee emporium has its own unique style, and it is dog friendly so man’s best friend can join the whole family on your visit. With the weather getting warmer, what could be better than an iced cold latte to keep you cool? Nothing, that’s what!

Eddie’s Coffee Lounge

And last but by no means least, it’s the one and only Eddie’s Coffee Lounge. If there was ever a time when all you needed to do was smell coffee in the morning to wake you up - Eddie’s will do it! The coffee is so fresh, it’s actually roasted and grounded right here in his shop and it tastes incredible… and if the delicious brews aren’t enough to keep you coming back for more, his loyalty card scheme will!

One of West Street’s latest additions to the Bedminster coffee scene, and it’s the place to be if you like your morning coffee with a pistachio cannoli!
